Sociology of law has for purpose to study the legal behaviour of human groups in the society.

We have practical courses connected to  one specific social group - the business enterprise - and its social environment in the frameworks of the law. We explain its legal behaviour, following the general societal approach of sociology of law, thinking of it as of social group.  We explain how, as a social group, which is positioned in the political, economic, cultural, traditional, religious, moral environment of the society, the enterprise balanced its organizational specifics at both sides - externally and internally. Existing in the societal legal frameworks with their legal norms and procedures, and with their legal actors, it communicates with all the other social groups. At the same time, the enterprise, as the other social groups, comply to its internal norms. The balance of this compliance is the focus of our courses and discussions, based on them.

Here is only a small part of the subjects, lessons on which you can find in our school:

Legal Actors:     External and Internal (Judges, Lawyers, Juries, Police, etc.) and how they interact with the enterprise

Ethics of legal profession from the societal viewpoint and its implications to the corporate reality

Law and micro-group norms and values (tradition, religion, moral, etc.) - the balance between the legally right and the profitable

Times of emergencies and legal behaviour of the enterprise: private vs public security norms; internal and external responsibility; is it possible social responsibility outside of the legal system; is it possible compliance to the outside legal norms without respect to the internal employment rules and procedures; are the special security procedures for the production/service in emergency times alternative to the rights of the employees to decent work.
